- Incorporated Straitsmart Sdn. Bhd., which is involved in the trading and distribution of consumer products. Straitsmart is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Achieva Technology Sdn. Bhd., which is in turn a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group.
- Increased investment in Hydra & Thermal Pte. Ltd. (“H&T”) from 70% to 100% through the Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary, SCE Enterprise Pte. Ltd. H&T became a wholly owned subsidiary of SCE following the increase in investment.
- Acquired a 49% equity interest in Print IQ Co., Ltd. (“PIQ Thai”)

- Raised stake in SPL Holdings (Australia) Pty Ltd, a laundry company serving the hospitality industry, to 27.34% from 20.00%.
- Acquired 100% of Hydra & Thermal International (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, a Cambodia-based distributor of consumer electronic products and household appliances. Acquisition was completed in July 2016.
- Acquired remaining 51% of Achieva Technology Pte Ltd. Achieva Technology markets and distributes IT products, computer peripherals and software.
2015
- Acquired 100% equity stake in Hydra & Thermal International (Cambodia) Co., Ltd (formerly known as Sear-R Corporation. Ltd), which distributes consumer electronic products and household appliances in Cambodia
- Acquired 49% equity stake in Serial Factoring (Thailand) Co., Ltd which provides project financing in the form of leasing, hire-purchase and factoring to IT and related corporations in Thailand. The Group will also benefit from supplying electronic components and/or electronic consumer products to these companies

- Acquired 21% equity stake in Tong Chiang Group, a food manufacturer and caterer
