Corporate Social Responsibility

At Serial System Ltd, we strongly believe that society and business are inseparable. It is through this belief that Serial System Ltd has played an active role as a responsible corporate citizen over the years. Our social responsibility practices have been broad in scope and focus on contributions to the poor and needy, education, sport, medical and art programs, disaster relief programs and preservation of Singapore heritage.

In 2011, Serial System Ltd contributed a total of $169,000 to a wide variety of programs and organizations in Singapore.

Contribution to the Poor and Needy and Various Charitable Programs

In 2011, a total of $136,000 was donated to various charitable foundations / programs such as the National Council of Social Services, North East Community Development Council, Club Rainbow (Singapore), Geylang Serai Education Centre, PAP Community Foundation, Nanyang Technological University, Women’s Integration Network Council, Singapore Sports Council and National Table Tennis Association. In particular, a $25,000 donation
was made to Nanyang Technological University to aid financially needy students and a $10,000 donation was made to the Women’s Integration Network Council to support their Groom-a-Child-to-Excel (GRACE) Mentorship program.

Contribution to Medical Programs

In 2011, Serial System Ltd donated a total of $33,000 in support of Singapore’s medical funds and facilities. These included donations of $18,000 to Sian Chay Medical Institution to fund the building of a dialysis centre, $5,000 to the Tan Tock Seng Hospital Community Charity Fund to
support their patient care centre program and $10,000 to the National Cancer Centre Research Fund to fund their research on cancer diagnosis and treatment.
